Our Approach to Adventurous Outdoor Activities

Working in the Peak District and beyond, our Qualified and very experienced instructors will guide you through any activity, varying the level to individual needs and always with safety as their primary concern. Whenever possible groups will just see one instructor throughout their activity programme. We have specialist equipment with people with disabilities, these include; specialist buoyancy aids for water activities and harnesses for climbing and abseiling.

We aim to create opportunities that allow participants to explore and experience themselves in a number of different situations and environments. This is achieved by offering people the chance to take acceptable risks – (that is, to freely undertake actions and involve themselves in situations that push against the boundaries of their own capacities). This process fosters the development of skills and is educational, allowing participants to learn through experience that which cannot be taught – they have to find out for themselves.

We have significant expertise in putting together programmes of exercises for groups and individuals, designed to facilitate reaching targeted learning outcomes. These programmes are often part of wider Apprentice Development, Graduate Training, Outdoor Education or Youth Work provision. If you would like to use our expertise in outdoor experiential learning to :

  • Develop your employees
  • Enhance your youth work
  • Engage some struggling students
  • Please contact us or better still, come and visit one of our locations.
