ACTIVITIES FROM LINDLEY
Bushcraft
Stepping back from our modern world, how would you survive?
Bushcraft is about thriving in the natural environment and the acquisition of the skills and knowledge to do so. Primarily we look at using our outdoor environment to provide shelter, food and warmth.
This session is a way of looking at how our ancestors lived and taking a closer look at our environment and what it can provide.
Fire lighting by friction is a skill that everyone enjoys. Although it can be initially frustrating, success often leads to a drink of hot chocolate around a campfire.
Why? A valuable educational experience exploring such areas as building shelters to protect from the elements, lighting fire using traditional skills and materials. Helps people gain a basic understanding of ancient living. A fire creates a great atmosphere that brings people together and encourages individual reflection.

How long? Can be a half-day session or less when combined with Orienteering or Zip Wire
