Secondary Schools
Challenge. Confidence. Connection.
Learning and development don’t stop at the classroom door. At Lindley Educational Trust, we create outdoor learning and residential experiences that give secondary and sixth-form students opportunities to challenge themselves, strengthen relationships and discover what they are capable of achieving. Whether you’re planning an adventurous residential, supporting students through exams or helping a new cohort build connections, we’ll create a programme around your students and the outcomes you want to achieve.

Developing Skills for Life
Adolescence brings new challenges, choices and responsibilities. Experiences beyond the classroom can give young people the space to develop skills that support both their education and their future.
Our programmes can help students develop:
Through challenge, reflection and shared experience, students can recognise their strengths and see themselves – and each other – differently.
Outdoor Adventure Residentials
Give students the opportunity to step beyond their comfort zone and experience authentic adventure in the Peak District National Park.
Our residential programmes combine adventurous activities with purposeful learning, creating opportunities for students to overcome challenges, take responsibility, work together and build confidence.
Programmes can be designed around specific educational or pastoral outcomes, or simply provide an unforgettable shared experience that strengthens relationships across a year group.

Revision Weekends & Study Residentials
Sometimes a change of environment can make a real difference.
Our revision and study residentials combine focused study with outdoor activity, giving students structured time to prepare for exams while also providing opportunities to recharge, exercise and spend time together.
Outdoor sessions provide a valuable break from study, helping students return to their work refreshed and motivated. Suitable for GCSE, A-Level and other post-16 groups, programmes can be developed around your own teaching and revision timetable.
Transition & New Cohort Programmes
Starting secondary school, entering sixth form or joining a new cohort can be a significant transition. Our programmes use shared challenges and outdoor experiences to help students get to know one another, develop positive relationships and build a sense of belonging.
Activities encourage communication, teamwork and problem-solving, helping break down barriers and creating stronger connections between students and staff. Transition programmes can be delivered as a day experience or residential.
