Learning Through Experience
Some of the most powerful learning happens when people have the opportunity to put ideas into practice. Lindley Educational Trust combines experiential learning, authentic challenge and skilled facilitation to create development programmes that make a lasting difference. Whether we’re developing apprentices, bringing academic theory to life or helping an established team tackle a business challenge, our approach is purposeful: experience, reflect, learn and apply.

Bringing Learning to Life
We help universities bridge the gap between academic theory and practical experience.
Working alongside programme leaders and academic teams, we design experiential learning that complements taught modules and gives students opportunities to experience theoretical concepts in action.
Students can test ideas, examine their own behaviour and then use facilitated reflection to connect their experience back to the models and frameworks they have studied.
Theory → Experience → Reflection → Learning
Our programmes can complement areas including leadership, organisational behaviour, business and management, education, health and social care, psychology and environmental studies. We also work with universities to support:
Every programme is designed around your curriculum, learning outcomes and students.
Whether your priority is applying academic theory, strengthening cohort relationships or developing employability skills, we create experiences that give students something they cannot get from the lecture theatre alone.
Programmes can support:

Development That Goes Beyond the Activity
Whether we’re working with an apprentice beginning their career, a university student applying theory or an experienced leadership team, the principle is the same:
The activity is the catalyst. The learning comes from what people experience, understand and do differently afterwards.
Talk to us about the people you’re developing and the outcomes you want to achieve, and we’ll create a programme around them.
