Build Your Own Adventure

Every group is different, so we offer the flexibility to create a programme around your needs, interests, available time and budget.

You can choose a fully programmed experience led by our instructors, combine Lindley activities with your own sessions, or simply use Hollowford as a base for exploring the Peak District.

Activities include caving, canoeing, raft building, climbing, abseiling, hill walking, orienteering, high ropes, archery, axe throwing, cycling, zip wire and team challenges.

From trying a new activity to taking on a genuine outdoor challenge, our experienced instructors will help participants progress at the right level.

Fully Catered Residentials

Stay in our main Hollowford accommodation and let us take care of the catering, accommodation and activities. With en-suite accommodation, group spaces and freshly prepared meals, leaders can concentrate on their young people and enjoy the residential too.

Back Tor
Self-Catering

Want more independence? Back Tor provides self-contained accommodation for up to 36 guests, with six en-suite bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and your own lounge and dining space. Run your own programme, add Lindley activities or use Back Tor as your base for exploring the Peak District.

Camping at
Hollowford

For a more traditional outdoor experience, stay under canvas in our dedicated group camping area with views towards Mam Tor.

Combine the independence and excitement of camping with access to the facilities and reassurance of an established outdoor centre.

Hollowford’s location puts adventure on the doorstep. We’re within walking distance of Castleton and surrounded by some of the Peak District’s most spectacular landscapes, caves, hills and crags. This means groups can experience real outdoor adventure in real environments, as well as activities within the Hollowford grounds. For groups running their own programme, Hollowford also provides an excellent base from which to explore the wider National Park.

Adventure for Everyone

We believe every young person should have the opportunity to experience outdoor adventure. We’ll work with leaders before your visit to understand individual needs and make your programme as accessible and inclusive as possible. This can include accessible accommodation, adapted activities, flexible programme design and consideration of SEND, cultural and religious requirements.
